One of my favorite Korean restaurants in Tacoma! Nothing falls short of excellence here. The food here is delicious no matter what you get, service is amazing, and the portions are huge. It is always a hit or miss whether or not the place will be busy. Today I got takeout but was unable to sit in their tiny bench area by the front door as a couple other parties were crowded there. What I found is that the dinner rush is a little less busy than the lunch rush.

Another Korean food joint.
I always noticed that service is always up and down.
They do get pretty busy so they don't really pay attention to you unless you hunt them down. Which is totally understandable but they should kind of work on that. But it's all good!
Food, taste was there. Portions are really BIG for one person (unless you hungry hungry) so my party and I shared food due to portions being so generous. -

My current favorite Korean restaurant. I love the food here. Kalbi is excellent. Portions are huge! Staff is always very friendly and nice. Yes, they do get busy often. And when it gets busy, service slows down. But the food is so tasty here!! Its my go to place for kalbi!! Yes, it is pricey for dinner, but I counted once and they cut up 8 short ribs for your dinner portion. One order of kalbi is enough to feed me 3 meals. It's that huge of a portion! I also suggest their fried rice seafood pancake, and bulgogi! Everything on their menu is delicious, you can't go wrong with any of their food items.

Crating Korean tonight brought us to this place. As soon as we walked inside I knew it was going to be great. The fragrant smell of sesame oil and spices. We were greater and ushered to our seats right away. One thing I noticed was that the place was bright and very clean. No sticky floors here.
We were served hot tea and ordered the following:
Seafood and green onion pancake- I wanted to love this but the pancake came up just a little short on the flavor category. I felt it needed a little salt to be honest but it was crispy on the outside and still a little soft on the inside. It was also not greasy at all. I ate one slice and basically took it home for breakfast tomorrow.
Galbi Dolsot Bibimbap- oh my, this was sooooo delicious. I ate the entire thing and I am not one to eat all my food. The veggies were so fresh and the meat was cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The balance of the mushrooms and the vegetables were so good, heck I would be okay without the meat. (Side note- I love veggies and could practically be a vegetarian)
Bulgogi- the Serving was massive and the flavor is so spot on. I don't order bulgogi that much because it's almost always too sweet for me but this was just perfect. The meat was cut perfectly, not shaved to where it's unrecognizable. The meat is also lean but still so tender.
All the side dishes were so fresh and delicious but my favorites were the fish cakes and the pickled cucumbers. The fish cakes were not dry at all, so fresh! And those cucumbers are to die for. Let's just say we asked for several refills
Can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu. The food was great, the place was super clean and the service was awesome--- Try this place, you will not regret it! -

I have found my new favorite Korean restaurant in Washington! A little blue roofed restaurant on South Tacoma aka Lakewood's Korea town is this little gem serving up super authentic Korean dishes. We came here after church for lunch on a Sunday and after being seated, the restaurant was immediately packed with both Korean people as well as people of all other ethnicities. We ordered the short rib, spicy pork combo, dolsot bibimbap, and fish roe soondubu and the food was to die for. The short ribs were marinated in this deliciously salty sweet soy sauce and grilled to perfection. The bibimbap had all the fixing one hopes to get at a Korean bibimbap from radishes, spinach, a perfectly runny egg. But the highlight of our meal would definitely be the soondubu. I've had so many variations of soondubu throughout my life and I might have to declare that this was the best bowl of soondubu I've ever had. The fish roe made the soup super creamy and rich with the taste of seafood, and came out piping hot with a fresh bowl of rice. While we ordered the soondubu at the hottest level, I did not find the soup to be spicy whatsoever. If you are a spice lover like myself, be sure to emphasize that you want the soondubu to be spicy. This restaurant when you come off lunch menu hours can be a little pricey, but I think given the authenticity of the food and taste, I will definitely be back!
